Our Trogon Cricket Story

Hi! I’m Len. A cricket-mad dad who’s spent a lifetime chasing the perfect bat. Years ago, I struggled to find a high-quality cricket bat that didn’t cost the earth — so I decided to make my own. That’s how Trogon Cricket was born: a place where every bat is handmade by me using traditional tools and the best English willow, giving players top-level performance without the sky-high price. My hope is that our bats help cricketers of all ages play with confidence, passion, and a smile. And it’s not just bats — I’ve sourced top-quality pads, gloves, and other softs from trusted suppliers, ensuring every piece of gear offers exceptional protection and comfort at a price that makes sense. Whether you’re walking out to bat or diving in the field, our equipment is made to help you play your best without breaking the bank.

Cricket Bat Warranty

Cricket can be an expensive game to play, that's why here at Trogon, we are proud to offer a comprehensive product warranty on all our cricket bats, and soft leather goods, so whether you're purchasing a custom-made bat, a pre-made bat, or one of our top-quality leather pads, gloves, or kit bags, you can be confident that if anything goes wrong your are covered.

Let's start with our cricket bats.

Our bats are built to last, but even the toughest equipment can be vulnerable to damage from time to time. That's why we offer a warranty on all of our bats that covers horizontal breakage for up to 6 months from the date of purchase.

If the blade of your bat should break horizontally across the grains within that time frame, we will replace it like-for-like, no questions asked.

However, it's important to note that not all damage is covered under our warranty.

For example, if the blade is broken due to a lack of knocking in, or if the edges are cracked or the toe is damaged due to facing a yorker, these are considered to be normal wear and tear and are not covered under warranty.

To activate the cricket bat warranty, please click on this Google Forms Warranty and complete the details.

A Grade 2 English Willow Cricket Bat FAQs

Is Grade 2 English willow good for cricket bats?

Yes, Grade 2 English willow is an excellent choice for club cricketers. It offers a great balance between performance and value, with good grain structure and reliable ping, ideal for serious players who don’t want to stretch to the cost of Grade 1.

What is the difference between Grade 1 and Grade 2 English willow?

Grade 1 willow typically has straighter, more even grains and fewer blemishes, making it the choice for professionals. Grade 2 bats, like this one, still offer high performance and attractive grain patterns, often with minor cosmetic blemishes that don’t affect playability.

Why are English willow cricket bats more expensive than others?

English willow is prized for its softness, responsiveness, and performance, all of which contribute to a bat’s "ping." The trees are grown in specific UK regions and take years to mature, which makes them more expensive than alternatives like Kashmir willow.

Is a Short Handle cricket bat suitable for me?

Short Handle bats are designed for players around 5ft 9in to 6ft 1in tall. They’re the standard adult size and provide excellent control and reach at the crease. If you fall within that height range, a Short Handle bat like this one is ideal.

How long will a Grade 2 English willow bat last?

With proper knocking-in, care, and maintenance (including toe guards and regular oiling), a Grade 2 English willow bat can last multiple seasons. Trogon Cricket also offers end-of-season servicing to extend its life and keep it match-ready.

Premium Performance Cricket Bat with Beautiful Design

This cricket bat is all about giving you confidence at the crease. The weight distribution and balance mean you can play both front-foot and back-foot shots with ease, while the natural profile supports big-hitting and touch players alike. The round handle ensures a comfortable grip, and the natural finish gives it a professional look and feel. Whether you're dominating the weekend league or sharpening your net sessions, you'll notice the difference from the first knock.
